ZF talks

This Labor Day, ZF Holding turned the spotlight toward the people on site through its "One Site. Many Stories." campaign. This campaign sheds a light on the workers, technicians, engineers, and project managers whose everyday effort shapes progress on the ground, yet often stays in the background.

It is a thoughtful reminder that every finished result carries the standards, care, and responsibility of the people behind it.

Inside ZF

Inside ZF - Meet Naira Amer

Naira Amer

Senior Accountant

This month, we're spotlighting Naira Amer, our Senior Accountant, whose role supports the financial structure, accuracy, and day-to-day discipline that help keep operations running smoothly across the group.

With several subsidiaries operating in different sectors, how do you adapt your financial mindset from one business context to another?

I first understand how each business works, from its revenue model and cycle to its specific risks. The financial framework stays the same, but the way you read the numbers changes with the context.

What is the difference between simply reporting numbers and actually helping a business make better decisions?

Reporting shows what happened. Decision support explains why it happened, whether it is sustainable, and what should happen next.

What is one financial habit or principle you believe every business should take more seriously early on?

Separating cash flow from profit. A business can look profitable on paper while still facing a cash flow issue, so tracking both early leads to better decisions.

What kind of detail immediately catches your attention when reviewing accounts or financial records?

AR aging is one of the first things I look at, especially unreconciled balances. I also pay attention to any number that suddenly breaks the pattern, like a cost spike or margin shift.

Has working in finance changed the way you think about discipline or decision-making in your personal life?

Yes. It has made me think more in terms of long-term value and early planning, whether in savings, habits, or bigger life decisions.

Outside of work, what kind of activities or routines help you reset mentally?

Cinema is my main reset because a good film can shift my perspective. I also enjoy accessorizing and creating a unique personal style, quiet time away from work, and short trips that help me return more focused.

What is something people at work might be surprised to learn about your personality or interests?

I have a real passion for cinema and tend to analyze films, not just watch them. I connect with ideas and storytelling with the same depth I bring to financial analysis.

Let's keep simplifying the future!
